HUMMUS, Fanny Matheusen
Coming back from two intense filming days on thé CARB tools. These tools, based on deep democracy and creative arts, are designed to open up pathways for young people towards bravery and resilience. Giving teachers tools to hold space for sensitive topics to be discussed and finding ways out of toxic polarization and escalating conflicts. I must say I was very impressed by the young people we met who might be in very vulnerable situations and a the same time felt empowered in what they needed to say or choose not to say. They were brilliant even with camera’s on them. And I also want to honor the teachers who worked with them and with us. I discovered that this project on bravery and resilience might awaken those qualities not only in youngsters but as well in teachers. And maybe also to me, as standing for a camera always brings up my own and old anxiety of being not entitled to speak☺️. #carb #deepdemocray #deepblack #haringleylearningpartnership
